What do these numbers mean?? 00-00-00

The numbers on a fertilizer bag indicate the percentage of Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), Potassium (K)in the fertilizer. These numbers are known as the N-P-K ratio.

Explanation

  • Nitrogen (N): Promotes leafy growth
  • Phosphorus (P): Helps form strong roots
  • Potassium (K): Promotes vigorous growth and hardiness

Example

  • A fertilizer with the numbers 10-10-10 contains 10% nitrogen, 10% phosphorus, and 10% potassium
  • A fertilizer with the numbers 23-3-8 contains 23% nitrogen, 3% phosphorus, and 8% potassium

If possible, we do recommend mowing a few days prior to our visit. Please make sure we can access any gates and that pets are put away on the day of service.

PETS – please wait a couple of hours after any liquid applications before you let your pets on the turf.

Yes, our liquid broadleaf spray targets cool season perennial weeds by disrupting the plant’s growth cycle and kills it down to the roots. We spray 2x per year, once in Spring and once in Fall.

Netsedge (sedge, water grass) is not a broadleaf weed or a grass and requires a specific selective herbicide to limit the production of the tubers underground.

We recommend waiting a minimum of 4-6 weeks after you lay new seed before applying any lawn treatments.
